Recently visited this very authentic Chinese restaurant and we were quite impressed with the overall experience. To start, we ordered the Peking duck, which was exceptionally well-cooked and delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the accompanying buns were equally delightful--soft and full of flavor. The sauce that came with the duck was delicious and complemented the dish perfectly. We also tried the fried rice, which was decent, and the water spinach, which was very well-cooked and seasoned just right. Both dishes added nicely to the meal, making it a well-rounded experience. One of the standout aspects was the amazingly fast service. Despite the restaurant being busy, our food arrived quickly, and the staff were attentive and efficient throughout our visit. Overall, the combination of authentic flavors, well-prepared dishes, and quick service made for a wonderful dining experience. We left feeling satisfied and will definitely be coming back for more.

Came here at 10am on Easter Sunday, mistakenly thinking that it opened at 10 rather than 9. Party of 2 and we only had to wait about 20 min, but by the time we left an hour later the 1-3 person table queue had doubled. Portion size is generous--congee comes in a huge bowl, too much for two people to share, and most dim sum portions are 4pc. As for specific dishes, I recommend the pork and preserved egg congee, har gow shrimp dumplings, steamed chicken feet with black bean sauce, and pan-fried daikon cake with XO sauce. They have a huge variety of more obscure dishes too, and some pricey seafood options. Service is average for a dim sum place, which is to say, extremely brusque but reasonably efficient.

It's good, but Koi Palace have gone down in quality over the years, and the restaurant is in need of a remodel job and carpet replacement. It's no wonder the restaurant is not full (about 40% full) on a Friday night near Mother's Day weekend. Between the 6 of us, we ordered a variety of dishes, everything tasted good but at not as good as other Chinese restaurants at similar price points (e.g. the ones a bit down the Peninsula). - Fish Maw Soup: Mediocre to good. Lacks complexity in flavor and tastes like fish maw and water, but nonetheless the fish maw is of decent quality - Salt n Pepper River Shrimp: This type of shrimp is smaller in size but is packed with flavors. They did a good job and the fish is full of wok-hay and the shrimp is fresh and sweet - Cauliflower with Beef: a rather classic dish. Good - Chicken Stew in clay pot: good, but nothing special - Combo BBQ plate: suckling pig and soy sauce chicken. Both excellent and very tasty! - Soy sauce chow mein: I always like their soy sauce chow mein... :) - Clay Pot Rice with Chinese sausage, preserved duck and veggies: very good with excellent flavors !! Rice cooked just right with some crunch at the bottom. Perfect. - Custard Bun: stable item and always good at Koi - Goji Berry dessert: very good Overall everything tasted very mediocre, with 2 good dishes. It's unfortunate that Koi is no longer as good as I remember this place to be. It's an OK.

Been here a few times mostly for dinner banquet celebrations. Maybe once or twice for dim sum with my husband. The place is nice but so crowded for dim sum. Food is good.

I was invited to a special banquet lunch here, and everything was DELICIOUS. It was a rainy weekend and the place was packed. Luckily we had reservations and a pre-ordered banquet lunch. Everything was fresh and delicious, and our waters and teas were kept filled. There were too many dishes to name them all, but these were the stand outs: + Fried shrimp and eggplant - ground shrimp ball sits atop a slice of eggplant, is battered and fried then topped with a sweet mayo sauce. Not sure what the name of this dish was but it's sooo good. + 2 steamed fish - not sure what fish this was, but it was the freshest, silkiest fish I've had. + Dried scallop and egg white fried rice - this looks like white rice but there is so much flavor in one bite. + Egg custard dumplings - this is sweet egg custard wrapped in a mochi-like skin. A yummy bite to end the meal Yeah, it's loud and crowded, but the food is top notch.

Finally got to have dinner at this Koi Palace location in Daly City. Plenty of private parking on a Wednesday night. We had a 16 person table. We ordered the Preset menu and had fabulous food.
